Support Staff

Do you have a heart to serve but aren’t sure you're gifted to be with the campers 24/7?  Support staff gain a well-rounded experience by running the behind the scenes work that makes camp function.  You have opportunities to build connections with campers, family campers, and encourage summer and year round staff in your role.  You are the oil that keeps the machine running.

CRAFT INSTRUCTOR

  1. Plan and lead age appropriate crafts that integrate curriculum

  2. Inventory, order, purchase supplies within budget

  3. Keep craft hut clean and welcoming

  4. Sleep in a cabin or shelter overnight as a 2nd staff for a Counselor

  5. Other programmatic help as needed

NATURE INSTRUCTOR

  1. Knowledge on local flora and fauna

  2. Animal care and animal habitat cleaning and repair

  3. Plan and teach age appropriate nature lessons that integrate curriculum

  4. Serve as a point-person for Harvesters camp programming

  5. Sleep in a cabin or shelter overnight as a 2nd staff for a Counselor

  6. Other programmatic help as needed

LIFEGUARDS

  1. Monitor pool and lake for safety

  2. Weekly chores for pool and lake

  3. Weekly and daily bathhouse cleaning

  4. Instruct and monitor campers in Archery

  5. Sleep in a cabin or shelter overnight as a 2nd staff for a Counselor

  6. Other programmatic help as needed

KITCHEN ASSISTANTS (KA)

  1. Daily meal prep and clean up

  2. Some cooking and food handling

  3. Assist Head Cooks

  4. Sleep in a cabin or shelter overnight as a 2nd staff for a Counselor

  5. Other programmatic help as needed

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

  1. Work on assigned tasks from Maintenance Director

  2. Valid driver’s license required

  3. Ability to work independently on projects

  4. Projects may include: trash collection, power tool operation, landscaping, painting, carpentry, raking, digging, shoveling, etc.

  5. Sleep in a cabin or shelter overnight as a 2nd staff for a Counselor

  6. Other programmatic help as needed

Gift shop / snack shack MANAGER

  1. Inventory and order stock for Camp Store and Snack Shack

  2. Balance cash box daily and manage camper accounts (online system)

  3. Manage Camp Store schedule (work with SIT Leader)

  4. Assist year round staff with gift shop in main office

  5. Sleep in a cabin or shelter overnight as a 2nd staff for a Counselor

  6. Other programmatic help as needed
